Should I pick up the phone?

Mich~
It was 6.15 pm, and the phone rang. I picked up the phone, and regretted my decision in doing so. The voice on the other end was mistakeable...it was ****!!! OMG! There the person goes again....I was already feeling lethargic and drained, yet I had to listen to grouches and groans..
Do not get me wrong, I'm not trying to escape or run away from situations. But there are times when the person would not give u a chance to explain yourself or give your suggestions...he or she will want to know the answer right now...no chances given. Or the more, the situation or predicament was not entirely within my control...what could I do?
In the end, I spent close to 45 mins on the line, with no conclusion. I knew there were things being held back, and it could be causing inconveniences or problems to people. Nonetheless, if someone else doesnt understand, what else could I do?
Hopefully, things would pick up tomorrow, so that my weekend mood would not be spoiled.......
SJ: Have this strong feeling that we are talking about the same person, so I might not be the only "victim"...we can share this info during our next meetup.....

Clarke Quay

Tom~
Yesterday afternoon, I headed down to Clarke Quay customer's office for on-site meeting, and noticed that Clarke Quay had changed quite a fair bit over the past few years, there were much more tourist attractions to look out for.
As i was leaving, I saw this G-MAX G forces, similar to those experienced by astronauts in a rocket launch, all in the safety of the latest G-Max technology. And the two guys inside were screaming like young babies, so u can imagine the impact of the G-Forces that they were taking.

Puzzled.......

Mich~
I was looking forward to dining out today afternoon...but alas, it was dampened not by the wet weather, but by the sluggish service we received.
The incident happened at a HK cafe around Tiong Bahru area..shall not quote the name of the cafe, but if u passed by that area, I am sure you cannot miss that place.
The irony of the whole incident was that the cafe was not even crowded during Sunday lunch hour, but the slowness in the service leaves much to be desired. We sat down, in a group of five, and ordered our food after about 5 mins. The waiters were prompt in coming to our table to take down our orders, but the nightmare began soon after.
The dessert and drink came after a wait of 10 mins, so we requested the waiter to serve us the main dishes promptly.
We waited and waited in vain....finally, 2 bowls of food were served....Opps...wrong dishes, we told them. After another waiting time which seemed like ages, one dish was served...then after another long haul, another was served....and then the waiting process repeated...
I could swear we spent close to 40 mins waiting for 3 dishes to be served. And in between this, wrong dishes were served to us, not once, but twice.
Then came the utlimatum..when the 3 of us were almost done with the eating, the other 2 were still kept waiting for their food!! What was going on? There was no crowd, and other tables around us were kept waiting, just like us. By the time our patience ran out and we stomped to the counter to ask, there were another 2 customers there as well, demanding to know what was happening in the kitchen!!
Much to our disappointment, instead of feeling apologetic about the delayed service, the waiter blamed it on the new crew of cooks who were manning the kitchen for the slowness. She said that because of them, they were being told off by customers. She failed to appease the customers, and left us feeling agonised and irritated. In the end, we wasted more time waiting rather than eating...I cannot comment on the food at all, because I did not have time to relish (if any) the food...
So much for GEMS.............??

Tall order

Mich~
I cannot imagine I had accomplished so many tasks within one evening...
I cooked, washed the dishes, washed clothes, hung them out to dry and swept the floor, despite feeling lethargic after a day's work. By the time I finished the chores, it was almost 10pm. I still needed to catch TV shows and the news. Oh no, u know the pair of hands after all the washing and cleaning..they looked shrivelled and drained...
I realised I cannot give myself such a tall order. To set to accomplish these tasks within a span of 3 hours is practically a mad rush....I supposed I was too ambitious before I left for work today. I guess these tasks are a daily affair for some people, and would not come across as too tough for them...For me, I think I lack skills in many areas....perhaps practice makes perfect.
Nonetheless, I was glad for the accomplishments..and resolved to plan my chores properly in future, at least not to leave me breathless and exhausted as I lay on my bed late at night.....
