Long queue for new EZ Link card
There was a long queue for replacing the old EZ link cards with new ones(CEPAS)!! To me, the new cards look much more classy, with a nice colour design. Singaporeans are still KS, queuing up so soon, though the deadline is till end of Sep 2009....

Neighbour has moved out
Well, it has been quite some time since we last blogged. Our neighbour has moved out yesterday after staying for only 5 months.....short period, isn't it strange? Well, didn't have a chance to chat with the occupants or know them at all, and now they are no longer our neighbours.

Maiden Trip to Singapore Flyer
Mich~
It was my maiden trip to the Singapore Flyer....
so I was filled with excitement and anticipation....
and my first time going on an "excursion" with colleagues....
When we reached there, we were trying to catch glimpses of the giant observation wheel...which stands at 165m above the ground....
We're like little kids, giggling, talking, waiting and queuing up in line for our turn to board one of the capsules...pardon us, 'cos it is very seldom that we get to let our hair down...
The Sg Flyer offers a breathtaking view of the city skyline, and the weather that evening allows us to see views of Singapore River, Padang, East Coast area, etc...we could also see the preparations underway for the great F1 race....
The capsules rotate rather slowly, so one wont really notice much movement, except for the changes in the views that lie ahead of you.....
For a first-timer like me, it was a good experience...and being a Singaporean, I have the chance to experience one of the iconic attractions of Singapore....
Views....and each revolution takes about 30 mins..

Dempsey Hill
As we walked along, we started to realise that this much hyped-about place offers mainly high end restaurants and wine bars, which left us with limited choices in looking for more affordable fare....:) Quite disappointing to me, considering so much fanfare about the place....
Personally, I would have second thoughts in going there next time....it is perfectly fine to venture there once in a while, but the high-end restaurants and limited lighting leaves me with some reservations....
One typical restaurant...one needs more effort to find out what it is offering
