My budget paper was approved today!! Even though it did not went through like a breeze, but there were no major hiccups. For me, as I reflect on the process at the end of the day, I must admit that there was a sense of satisfaction within me. No doubt about it, as I have been toiling and spending sleepless nights on the budget process recently. Sleepless nights, worrying about the outcome and meeting the dateline. Alas, we could heave a sigh of relief and breathe easier now....My colleagues and I had spent about 1.5 months on it, and the process was particularly frantic as we were all first-timers running the show. Countless discussions, meetings with the business units, clarifications to and fro, phones ringing incessantly, preparing for Q&A...etc. All these efforts finally reap a little result...hahaha. Although the process is not over yet (still a final leg to it), at least we managed to achieve a milestone on time. Hopefully, we gained experience along the way, and could start to probe further and ask questions a little more inquisitively from this learning process.

One thing was for sure, the 3 of us had fostered stronger relationships from now on.......
