First day into my new job.........

After a one week break, I am joining the working force once again. Starting a new job, opening a new chapter of my working life, after 6 years with an MNC, is not quite an easy task, at least emotionally....
I think a public-listed company would have another method of working policies, which is very much different from an MNC.
I reported to the HR manager first thing in the morning, obtained my staff pass and name cards, and went thru the HR orientation slides. Thereafter, I had to sign on the orientation briefing form, meaning that the new staff understood everything. My current desk area is much more spacious than my precious work station, and I had 2 desktops to work with. Perhaps next time, I would be issued a laptop, as my boss agreed to look into the issue. My colleagues and bosses are nice and friendly, and I also attended the orientation tour (free and easy).
At least my mind is more settled & at ease now, and I can look forward to a new working environment, with new colleagues. I am closing the old chapter on my ex-company and colleagues, but would still keep in touch with some of them....I guess it is time to move on.....
